Use of Opium- The History!

Opium /[oh-pee-uh m]/ is a powerful drug made from the juice of a type of Poppy(a flower).

Opium is bieng grown and used in the World from last Four Years. It is bieng Used in the Different parts of the World from Ancient Times for making some kind of Medicines, But in Asia Opium is used for both medicine and addict.

The Crop of Opium can't grow in the Hot Atmosphere and Areas, so its mostly grown in the Cold areas/atmosphere and on the Hills around 2500 feet higher from the level of the Sea.

China is called the Area of Opium, the usage of opium in china, in 18th century was at the peak, and have been spread all over in the World in 19th century.

The first League of Nations have took many steps to ban the opium, and the Production of Opium had almost ended due to Communist Govt in china in 1949.

Anyhow, Opium is Still used as an Addict/Medicine in my Hometown. Even I use it :))
